Om is Where The Heart is

I always feel like I should have the song Turn Turn Turn by the Byrds playing in the background as I write these newsletters. Every time I sit down to write, another season has come and gone. This time it was two seasons. Yes, yes, for all of you that waited for the summer edition of this Ezine with the same intensity you waited to find out what happened in Grey's Anatomy cliffhanger, I do apologize for my tardiness. Sometimes when I am slow writing an edition it is due to something that seems to be percolating or half formed. This time around it was simply that life got busy with gardens, warm weather and moving. So mea culpa, and lets get on our merry way shall we?

Note: In addition to my own tardiness, as I was ready to send this out in September my computer crashed. After intensive healing sessions it is on the road to recovery.

A great deal has happened this past summer both for me personally and with Divine Bridges. For me it has centered around having a new home and being able to send down energetic roots for the first time in awhile. I know this is going to impact my healing work as well. In addition to the fun I have had playing with the Divine Perfection (and Quantum Bridging) that I have talked about in the last couple of EZines, I stumbled upon another tool during a session. In the session I channeled what I call Heart Presence into an issue. Heart Presence is a Divine consciousness energy that brings a heart centered awareness into the issue. I have to admit it was very uncomfortable to do on some of my own issues (yes I know you thought I was perfect; sorry to disappoint that I am in fact human). Even though it felt uncomfortable to have that much awareness brought into an issue, I also felt a large shift within it, and felt conditioning that was holding the issue start to melt away.

A second energetic tool happened very recently. I was working with a client to help bring clarity into her life and clear some of the conditioning. I felt like I needed an additional tool for the job, and considered the sugilite stone I had seen her wearing. Part of sugilite's medicine is connecting to one's life path; "why am I here on earth". I started to channel what I now call Life's Purpose energy which seemed very effective in creating movement and clarity. It even provided a great of deal of visual messages which I was able to share with the client .I look forward to working with this energy more.

I also feel that the time to return to working with groups is at hand. I am in the process of drawing up a winter schedule for group events, workshops, and the travel associated with them. If you want me to include a city then email me.

When is Group Event not a Group Event?

No this isn't a Zen Koan, but instead it is my new idea to make healing sessions available to everyone. Many of you receiving this newsletter have experienced a distance healing session from me. Judging by the comments and repeat business I know they have been very effective. Sometimes I can get a little overwhelmed with healing requests, especially from my extended family. There is simply not enough time in the day to cover them all, so I have found ways to cope with it. One such method is to hold a distance group session where I connect to each person energetically (no matter where they are), and in my consciousness hold that group and channel what they need. So far it seems to be pretty effective.

So what I am offering is that one night a week I am going to sit down in meditation and do a distance group healing session. I am thinking of doing it Monday evening at 7pm (PST). To make it more accessible financially, I am offering it for $20 a session. To take part in the session, email a request before Monday evening, and payment can be made through Paypal, interac money transfer (for my Canadian clients), or through snail mail.

First session will be Monday October 26th at 7pm and every Monday from then on. I am excited to see how it unfolds

Is the Future Yours or Mayan?

The year 2012 has to be the most talked about time period we have experienced. Sure the year 2000 got its share of press as did 1984, but these were not events that were as strongly backed by ancient culture and foreshadowing as the year 2012. For myself, I always found that the majority of fear mongering or conversely the airy fairy lets hug and sing kumbaya around that date were all misinformed. Everyone does have an opinion (and usually a book) about this mythical date so it was with some trepidation that I read Fractal Time by Gregg Braden.

Gregg Braden is a spiritual teacher/writer who has a background in geology. Probably most famous for his work in "Awakening to Zero Point", "The Isaiah Effect" and the "God Code" I also mentioned his work with the "Divine Matrix" in the spring Ezine. I like Gregg's work as he is a good bridge between the science and the spiritual teachings; something we need more of in this polarized world.

Fractal Time discovers the link between the Mayan long count calendar and what we are experiencing now on the earth. The basis of the long count calendar is that a cycle of time last 5,125 years. This cycle peaks in December of 2012. The second time reference he uses is the culmination of the procession of the equinoxes that happens every 25,625 years and also peaks in December of 2012. This time period marks the passage of the earth across the center of our galaxy; an event that will not happen for another 25,625 years.

Now what Gregg Braden is good at doing with this book is to illustrate that time flows in patterns and cycles. Repeating patterns give us the same conditions as the past but it is up to us in how we respond. Gregg uses the term Choice Points to refer to a crunch where we have to decide the response to a situation. This in itself underlies the important message in all teachings and prophecies to this point in time; it is our intention and attention that will shape out future. It is one reason that I feel the push with Divine Bridges when it comes to using tools such as Divine Perfection and Heart Presence. By focusing on the highest good in a situation it does impact the whole planet. Gregg Braden makes reference that when we come to choice points, it is easier to make change happen. this is probably one reason why we have so many new healing tools available and more people being called to do the work than we can remember.

One thing I really liked about Fractal Time was that it put 2012 in perspective. First off it is not an event but a process. Anyone that is working with energy will have noticed that we have been going through a changing time. Mr Braden puts the start of this major shift around 1980 and says we won't be through the changes until 2016. I can personally attest to the start date as that is when I personally started to feel a major shift. Crossing the galactic center is not an overnight phenomenon, but instead an event that moves somewhat slowly. This is why I have never thought of 2012 as some cataclysmic event; we have been experiencing the cataclysm and chaos for the past 30 years!

As I said, Mr Braden likes to look at time as a pattern, very much like a fractal. These patterns repeat the same conditions, but it is up to us and our group consciousness on how we respond to that situation. For example, say the conditions result in drought and food scarcity. That is the condition, but how we respond to it could either look like going to war over scarcity beliefs or conversely finding better ways of distributing food and eliminating wasteful practices. As my favorite chapter in the book"Where Ever You Go, The You Are" is titled; You cannot change the waves but you can learn to surf. Gregg goes on further and has developed a Time Code Calculator to help see when cyclic patterns reoccur. He says that the choice points they represent offer the a time when we can create the greatest change. I have included a link to it at the bottom of the page.

What do these change represent? Well, that is matter that is open to interpretation. Personally I see it as a time when we have access to greater energetic tools and teachings. We can use these tools to shed more conditioning and separation consciousness and reach enlightenment. Due to shortages of fuels and lack of quality in our food we are being forced to look at sustainability issues. I for one am moving towards a goal of wanting to to provide 80% of my own food and medicines on my doorstep. And if all this is a wrong interpretation? Well the downside would be that we are all more aware, have better quality food growing in our garden, and we make better choices in our lifestyle. What a shame that would be.

This month's poem is

IF by Rudyard Kipling

Most of the poems I have featured in this EZine have to do with our personal connection to the Divine. This month's has to do more about how we integrate those principles into daily life. It is fine to talk about abstract concepts such as unconditional love and non-attachment, but entirely another to ground them into the mundane life. And for my sisters out there, I am sure the words "man" can easily be replaced with "woman" ;-)

If

If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with triumph and disaster
And treat those two imposters just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

This month's card is:

from the Osho Transformational Tarot

2. Communion

Harmony without and within

    Man is living as an island, and that's where all misery arises. Down the centuries man has been trying to live independently from existence--that is not possible in the very nature of things. Man can neither be independent nor dependent. Existence is a state of interdependence: everything depends on everything else. There is no hierarchy, nobody is lower and nobody is higher. Existence is a communion, an eternal love affair.

    But the idea that man has to be higher, superior, special, creates trouble. Man has to be nothing--man has to dissolve into the totality of things. And when we drop all the barriers, communion happens and that communion is a benediction. To be one with the whole is all. That is the very core of religiousness.

    Heraclitus says: It would not be better if things happened to men just as they wish. Unless you expect the unexpected you will never find the truth, for it is hard to discover and hard to attain. Nature loves to hide. The lord whose oracle is at Delphi neither speaks nor conceals--but gives signs.

    Existence has no language... and if you depend on language there can be no communication with existence. Existence is a mystery, you cannot interpret it. If you interpret, you miss. Existence can be lived, but not thought about. It is more like poetry, less like philosophy. It is a sign, it is a door. It shows, but it says nothing.

    Through mind, there is no approach to existence. If you think about it, you can go on thinking and thinking, about and about, but you will never reach it--because it is precisely thinking that is the barrier. Thinking is a private world, it belongs to you--then you are enclosed, encapsulated, imprisoned within yourself. Nonthinking, you are no more; you are enclosed no more. You open, you become porous, existence flows into you and you flow into existence.

    Learn to listen--listening means you are open, vulnerable, receptive, but you are not in any way thinking. Thinking is a positive action. Listening is passivity: you become like a valley and receive; you become like a womb and you receive. If you can listen, then nature speaks--but it is not a language. Nature doesn't use words. Then what does nature use? Says Heraclitus, it uses signs. A flower is there: what is the sign in it? It is not saying anything--but can you really say it is not saying anything? It is saying much, but it is not using any words--a wordless message.

    To hear the wordless you will have to become wordless, because only the same can hear the same, only the same can relate to the same.

Sitting by a flower, don't be a person, be a flower. Sitting by the tree, don't be a person, be a tree. Taking a bath in a river, don't be a man, be a river. And then millions of signs are given to you. And it is not a communication--it is a communion. Then nature speaks, speaks in thousands of tongues, but not in language.

We are all Linked!

So I thought I would take a little space each month to share some links I have come across. They might be teachings, new concepts, businesses I find intriguing, or just something that appeals to my brand of sacred coyote craziness. If you have a link you want me to include then drop me an email!

Gregg Braden has a Time Code Calculator on his web site. Fun to play with to see when condition in your own life repeat them self.

some of the links from our previous DivinEzine that have recent updates

My very good friend Ian has started a new business offering meditation/visualization CDs and Mp3s that are encoded with entrainment frequencies. I have listened to a couple of them already, and have to say they definitely deepen the quality of my meditation. Ian also has some great meditation instruction and advice on his web site. I highly recommend him as a meditation teacher. Ian has launched his Ebooks. Included in the titles are ones on mantras, meditation, and childhood obesity.
