Welcome to a new year! That is of course if you live in western society; our friends in the east have to wait a bit longer for their new start. In any case, we are finished with the holi-daze and are ready for new adventures. I feel the time over this past couple of months to be one of expansion; but enough about my waistline. (hmmm, have to figure out how to code a rim shot into this webpage or add a laugh track). Seriously though, there has been a lot of development going on with Divine Bridges.
The major change I have witnessed ties into this month's article on quantum physics and healing. This happens to be a subject dear to my heart, and as these things normally happen, there has been a number of serendipitous events come together to form a new way of thinking. For example, I attended a talk given by the founder of Body Talk, and one of his statements made me think. If our bodies are continually replacing them self with new cells, why does our body replicate a diseased condition. So if you have liver damage, why is that your liver is not replacing itself every couple of months with a healthy new liver instead of the same diseased one?
Secondly I always reflect on Dr Emoto's work on the effect of emotion on water crystals; how water holds a resonant pattern when exposed to thought and feelings. Now since we are 55-78 % water, how much do our thoughts and feelings impact our overall health and reality.
And lastly, I greatly enjoyed reading Gregg Braden's book The Divine Matrix. It is a nice bridge in the quantum physics meets spirituality field. For me it was the final piece in making a change to my healing model. To cut to the chase, I feel that when we do healing work and concentrate on the illness we are actually giving the illness greater reality. It is like a reinforcement that says"oh yeah, we are sick". This is not to say that healing doesn't work despite of it, but I think there is a more expedient method. To hold a picture of a healed system in your consciousness when infused with feeling and coupled with Divine energy will bring about a healed system much faster than a combative healing ever can.
To this end I started playing with the energy in Divine Bridges. The term that came to mind was Quantum Bridging, and basically I would hold an image of the person I was working of in that healing field and picture them as already healed. The energy that came through I called Divine Perfection as that best describes it. The process felt like the Divine blueprint of the person's system or situation was being brought in. Instead of replicating in the same damaged way, it was like the system went back to the original blueprint to get the right specs. It was a very profound way of working but I have to admit it was a little demanding of my energy. I am not sure if it was the energy coming through or the focus required, but I needed a nap after the first two sessions I did on someone. Since that time my body seems to be adjusting to it better.
Interestingly enough, during the last group Divine Bridges event, one of the instructions was for everyone to hold a picture of what they wanted manifested in their mind's eye for the duration of the event. This makes sense, as whenever you are in a place of focused prayer energy you should be concentrating on what you want to manifest, not what you fear or dislike. I know I have experienced this time and time again in places like sweat lodges; someone starts talking about how horrible their life is and the whole energy of the lodge gets dragged down. Since during that time you have the energy of the group, and the undivided attention of the Divine, wouldn't it make sense to use it to manifest what you desire? I know future Divine Bridges events are going to reflect this positive visualization.
One thing I did notice doing the Quantum Bridging sessions, was that the manifested result often took a day or two to show up but was very dramatic when it did. When I do a "normal" healing session the result is instantaneous. With this was of working, it as almost like it had to get processed through the system for a bit before it would manifest. I guess that makes sense as the density of the body has to be restructured.
So Divine Bridges continues to develop and unfold. I am excited to see where this new path leads and hope it can be shared in a group environment soon.
In other news, I have been busy creating my new audio course on spirituality and healing. The working title is Mosaic Foundations and should be released by spring. It will cover everything from energy and cosmology to intuitive work, healing, shamanism, and mysticism. Guided meditations have already been recorded to go along with it. A follow-up series called Mosaic Masters is planned for later in the year. I will keep you updated on the progress.

YOUR REALITY OR MINE BABY
As you may have guessed from the introduction to this Ezine, I have a great love of quantum physics. To me it is the meeting ground between science and mysticism. I personally find it reassuring that scientists are finally starting to see the universe the way shamans and mystics do. Instead of an absolute reality, it is becoming apparent that reality is malleable. As the physicist John Wheeler coined, a participatory universe. Our very participation in this universe alters the reality of it.
From a mystic's point of view, we could see reality as an expression of Divine consciousness. In Hinduism reality is a projection of Brahman, and is called Maya. Most people interpret maya as illusion, which is only half right. Maya simply means to measure that which is Divine origin is illusion. So does that mean that reality is real or not? Well, the answer is yes, no, and maybe.
To start off our explanation, let's look at Max Planck, the father of quantum physics. He came up with one of the greatest concepts to bridge science and mysticism; the Matrix. Good ol Max not only described the matrix as the birth place of everything, but also the container and the contents. He used it to describe the interconnectedness of all things; everything is the matrix. This explains why when two particles are separated by great distances, they still behave the same and seem to have instant communication across space. Although science has termed this "quantum weirdness" (don't you love this term) and Einstein referred to it as "spooky", it means that the two particles are able to communicate over vast distances because there is in fact no separation. This in part explains how we can do distance healing on someone, as there is no separation of space.
So from this matrix we get the projection of reality; sounds similar to our introduction of the mystic's view of reality as a projection of Divine consciousness? All reality is not only made up of the matrix, but also the matrix is the container it is held in. This means that everything within the container is just a varying degree of density of matrix energy. Again this fits with the spiritual model of healing, and when you look at someone from an energetic standpoint they are simply a convergence of lines of energy connected to everything else. Take a look at Alex Grey's artwork and you will get what I mean. Carlos Casteneda also had a good description when he said Don Juan described humans as a luminous egg of converging energy lines.
So what does this all mean for us? Well the biggie as far as we are concerned is that reality is much more malleable than we generally believe it to be. In fact our observation alone changes the nature of reality. So if this is the case, why does not every thought we have manifest into reality. Well with density comes resistance, and as humans we are petty dense (no comment). Density holds our conditioning. Think of conditioning as your "stuff" or baggage, or your karma. Now remember karma is not a judgment of reward or punishment, it is simply that what you did before has created what you are now. Think of it as a cause and effect to create awareness so you can realize your awakening. Now we carry that karma as conditioning in our energy system. From it we create our beliefs about reality. Now since our reality is affected by our direct involvement, and our beliefs are created from our interaction with our reality, we have a bit of a feedback loop going on. Matrix creates reality which influences our beliefs and our beliefs then influence reality. Got it?
Not convinced yet? Well let's try a little exercise in influencing reality shall we? Sit on the floor. Extend one of you arms in front of you and point forwards with your finger. Now turning your upper body only, travel your extended arm in a sideways arc to point as far behind you as you can. Follow the travel of your hand with your eyes. Take note of how far you made it. Now come back to the starting position and close your eyes. This time in your mind's eye only, pretend that you are doing the same exercise but are able to go much further than before. In fact you can almost make it all the way around you are so flexible. Now open your eyes and do the same exercise for real. Point forward with your arm extended and make an sideways arc with your pointed finger until you can go no further. Sooooo, you went much further this time didn't you? Your beliefs influenced reality didn't they?
So back to what it means for us. Now your beliefs are held in density in your energy system. When we want to change our reality we have to do two things. First of all we need to hold a picture of what we want to manifest. Second of all we have to affect our density; which we can do by adding energy to our system. Our energy can be augmented by raising our vibration (that in part is what we do when we channel Divine healing energy), or we can tap into the reservoir of energy contained in our feelings. Feelings are key when changing reality as they not only invest our internal computer but they also are a storehouse of potential energy. By investing our internal computer, I mean that our brain only understands positive commands and in the present tense. By creating a picture of what we are feeling, our brain tries to manifest it in our body to match that picture. It can't understand that you are daydreaming about the future, it thinks it must already be in the present. This is why you also have to be careful about the language you use as the brain is selective in its hearing. For example saying to it "I will not smoke", the brain thinks "hmmm why yes, I do believe I want a smoke now"
So to change your reality you need to hold the new picture with enough conviction and feeling to change the conditioning and therefore the blueprint of your system. Eventually the conditioning will give way and be replaced by this new belief. As our buddy Einstein said "You cannot solve the problem with the same consciousness that created it. You must learn to see the world anew." When you are able to hold that new picture long enough to overcome your conditioning, it will become a belief in your system. Since your firmly held beliefs influence reality, your manifestation will follow. A perfect example of this comes from Carlos Casteneda "Fire from Within", where Carlos graduates from his apprenticeship and marks it by jumping off a cliff. His teacher says the only way to survive is to enter into dream state and change his reality before he hits the bottom. Now that is what I call investing your internal computer!
As Einstein said, reality is an illusion; albeit a very persistent one.

ROBERT'S BOOKCLUB (Hey if Oprah can...I can too)
Here are a couple of titles I would recommend:
Divine Matrix - Gregg Braden
Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting - Lynn Grabhorn
This month's poem is
Rumi - There is a field
Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field. I'll meet you there.
When the soul lies down in that grass,
the world is too full to talk about.
Ideas, language, even the phrase each other
doesn't make any sense.

Divine Messages
and so I went up on the mountain, raised my arms to the Gods and asked for a message for humankind. And thus was spoke:
Eat more organic fruits and veggies. Drink more water and be kind to one another and yourself.
Okay I fudged this month's Divine message but it still sounds like good advice.

We are all Linked!
So I thought I would take a little space each month to share some links I have come across. They might be teachings, new concepts, businesses I find intriguing, or just something that appeals to my brand of sacred coyote craziness. If you have a link you want me to include then drop me an email!
I personally love the work of Alex Grey. Here is an artist that sees the world as mystics and healers do.
some of the links from our previous DivinEzine that have recent updates
My very good friend Ian has started a new business offering meditation/visualization CDs and Mp3s that are encoded with entrainment frequencies. I have listened to a couple of them already, and have to say they definitely deepen the quality of my meditation. Ian also has some great meditation instruction and advice on his web site. I highly recommend him as a meditation teacher. Update: Ian has launched his Ebooks. Included in the titles are ones on mantras, meditation, and childhood obesity.
