A bit about Dragons
It is pretty safe to say that dragons form an archetypal energy. That is to say, that every culture around the world has a mythology that includes dragons in one shape or form. As I mentioned before, dragons seem to be playing a key role in Divine Bridges with regards to holding the space and teaching us to reconnect to magic. It should be noted though, that although Dragons can teach us to reconnect to that innocence and wonder of childhood, it is also a very intense energy to confront. For me, I connect it to the Thunder Eagle medicine of North American 1st Nations. Both the dragon and the Thunder Eagle can come in with such force as to blow apart existing structure. In Tarot you have the symbolism of the Tower card and it falling to the ground. Whatever is no longer needed, or not built on firm foundations will fall. This can be scary, but from the ashes the Phoenix does rise, and a better future is manifested. This new life is one that is built in harmony with the vibration of the cosmos. This is also the reason that many cultures fear the dragons in their mythology. Why would someone embrace something that can reek such havoc in our world. Well it takes courage to face the fire and allow yourself to be consumed. It takes faith that a better you is going to be reborn.
The other part of Dragon energy is what they guard. Again, in most mythologies dragons guard a large treasure. We have to face the dragon and defeat it to obtain this treasure. Now the dragon becomes the manifestation of what scares us the most. Facing the dragon is facing our deepest fear. The treasure itself can take many forms, depending on what is most valuable to you on your path. It might take the form of opening yourself to financial abundance or prestige. Or it may take a less tangible form in representing enlightenment and Divine knowledge.
It is also wise to consider what element the dragon is tied to. In most mythologies you have dragons of different colours and different elementals. Commonly you would hear about fire dragons, water dragons, air dragons, and earth dragons. Each element carries with it a teaching and territory. For example Water Dragons would deal with the emotions and deep unconscious mind. Fire Dragons would be about achievement and creative power. Earth Dragons about sustenance and abundance. Air Dragons would deal with knowledge and enlightenment. It is in this last guise, the Air Dragon that I find the Divine Bridges tends to work with. In Tibetan Buddhism, it is the vajra that is seen as that thunderbolt of understanding. This is akin to the Thunder Eagle and the Air Dragon which strike with such intensity that your whole being is cracked open so you can see the Truth. It happens with such swiftness that there is no time to think, you have simply seen the Truth of your existence; you are Awakened.

Both Carol and myself tend to get messages from time to time about the nature of the work we are doing with Divine Bridges. Often, one of us will get one piece of the information, and it will be clarified or validated by a message from the other person. This was the case with the last channeled message I did. After last month where I sat down and channeled a message from the Divine Mother, there was second part for Carol and myself. Basically it was that we are currently working on an energy of the number 3. I had realized some of this from the start when setting up the initial structure of the events, but this was a deeper level of the information. To be honest I am still processing the information and trying to put all the pieces together. One of the messages was that these events would build on a number three. This means we would do three events at one location, with each building on the energy of the previous one. So what we started in November in Victoria will build into the January event and probably culminate in March. Then another cycle will start. So far the events have been 2 months part but as things progress that time frame will get condensed. This is true for everything we are experiencing in this world energetically. Intensity is increasing and Interval is decreasing. This is to say that what we experience is getting more intense and deep, and how much time we have between experiences is getting shorter. This is a good thing as more movement is being created. Does it always feel great? ah, no. But the end result is that you and your system are evolving at a tremendous rate. These are in fact exciting times to be alive.
As I have mentioned, the three energy has been part of the Divine Bridges since the inception. During November's event, there were three phases or waves to the event. First being movement, second silence and Grace, the third being integration. When we look at the first three events in Victoria (November, January, and March 2008), they too will be working on an evolution of the three energy. In November we saw a lot of movement. January's message has mostly been about releasing old patterns and fears; transformation by elimination (remember the Divine Mother's message from last month's Ezine on what are you willing to surrender to feel lighter?). The messages for March so far seem to be about manifestation and mastery. Does this mean you have to attend the November session to benefit from the other two? Well no; as one of my teachers would always say "Everything is always in perfection". You will attend what you need to and what you are ready for at that point in your path. Maybe something else has already created the movement that November could have offered, and now you just need the release. Always surrender and trust the process.
Bit more about Dragons - Red and White Ones!
Well the Divine aspects running this show do seem to have their own fashion sense. We are even told what to wear! The message for January has been one of the red and white dragon energy. I will be representing the White Dragon energy which sits in Truth, Harmony and Purity (no laughing). Carol will be the Red Dragon. The message Carol received with the Red Dragon energy is: Red dragon is the element of fire, burning up the old to make room for the new (which is awesome that it is our first one in 2008) Red dragon is similar to snake energy in that it is an absolute transformation. No halfway here. If people are not ready to let go of their old skin, they need not come. Thanks Carol, maybe I will stay home that night. Just kidding of course, but it does take courage to choose transformation. Courage is not the absence of fear, but instead the progress despite feeling fear. Does the Phoenix resent the fire? No of course it doesn't as the fire is what created the beauty. So it sounds like January it is time to step up to bat and swing like you mean it.

Divine Messages
and so I once again went to the well and asked for any message to come through from the Divine aspects that actually run the show.
This month's message is from Aaron. Aaron is a high level ascended master that forms part of what is commonly referred to as the Great White Brotherhood (with no reference to gender or race). In his physical incarnation, Aaron was the right hand of Moses and a respected prophet in his own right. The message came though with quite a bit of strength and clarity.
"The path to Truth leads to your Awakening. Awakening is all there is. Your life so far has led to this event. You will have the realization of your true nature; part of the Oneness- part of the original source - part of the Divine. To realize this there is nothing you need to do, or become. Your Awakening rises out of your Being; like a flower unfolding its petals. It happens naturally in its own time. You simply have to stop fighting and engaging with your drama. It is the engagement that keeps you trapped. You are not your conditioning; it is the illusion. To realize your Awakening you have to be willing to let go of the drama. Distractions keep you in the cycle of death/rebirth. Find stillness and be ready to surrender your preconceptions of reality, God, religion, and spiritual belief. They cannot take you any further. that last leap you have to do alone. Walk through the door alone and naked to enter into true abundance. Awaken to the Truth that will end suffering. Awaken and be free. Namaste."

And although I already drew a card in last month's newsletter for this event, I figured I would do another one for this month with a different deck. This time was the Druid Animal Oracle. Now the card I drew was Goose. I almost put it back and drew another as it didn't make sense to me, but I decided to sit with it and see what came up. Well the clarity did come, and Goose made perfect sense (Divine 1, My Ego 0). So here are few Goose teachings for you.
Goose medicine can be divided into two main topics. The first is that of travel, and the second is of family and community. Of course, these two are related so we can look at who we travel with. This can be in the physical world or in the more metaphysical sense of "Spiritual Path".
Whenever you want to understand a totem medicine, it is wise to study the behavior of the animal. In this case notice how geese are always in a sense of community or bonded relationships. Everything they do is in relation to another. One of the reasons geese can fly such great distances is that their flight formation creates a slipstream so that members of the flock can effortlessly fly behind the strong leader. When that one gets tired, one of the rested geese gets a chance to lead. If a goose gets injured, one or two will always stay behind with the injured one until it gets better. In this way that goose doesn't have to try and fly alone. Working in concert with others we are stronger and accomplish more. The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. That in itself sums up the work we are doing with Divine Bridges. The imagery of a shared journey comes to mind and sharing the path with fellow questors. Just like the geese, we are linked as one family; not only in the Divine Bridges event, but as Oneness experiencing separation consciousness.
With goose medicine we also look at family patterns. A big part of your coping strategies will have their anchor in old family patterns. Your relationship with your partner will be a reflection of the parent child relationship. How you see your self image will be mainly learned though early family conditioning. Overcoming stumbling blocks in your life will involve recapitulating your life experience to journey back to that child. As a child you internalized everything. Everything in the whole world was about "me". This skewed bias makes us develop an unrealistic self image and beliefs. As adults we are still viewing the world through that child's perception and belief system. So often to clear the blocks of the present we have to look at the family pattern that created the conditioning. Bringing our awareness into the conditioning is our first and most powerful tool in releasing it.
Not that all family patterns are negative ones though. With goose medicine we have to honour how we interact with others; our mate, our family, friends, and community. What gifts can you bring to the mix that will help others. So learning to honour our positive self worth is part of goose medicine.
And do you know the teaching of why when geese are in flight that one side of the V is longer than the other? Because there are more geese on that side!
