Welcome to our first Ezine for Divine Bridges.
First off, I am pleased to announce our next Divine Bridges event will be January 26th, 2008 in the Fellowship Room of the First Unitarian Church of Victoria 5575 West Saanich Rd. It is a beautiful space that we have rented and is at the back of the church with great parking. Cost is $30 per person. We will be starting at 7pm and should be finished by 9pm. (Note originally this was advertised for January 12th, but had to be changed due to a booking hiccup)

Now onto the show; last month's show that is. I thought you would enjoy my little blog about our first Divine Bridges event.
November 17th -First Divine Bridges event!
Well well, we had our first Divine Bridges event this past weekend. Was it everything I thought it would be? Well it was actually more than I thought it would be. I don’t know about Carol, but I felt they threw me a few left turns, but luckily I was in deep enough surrender to just allow it to happen…and it was magic. We had a small but very enthusiastic group there to participate. Everyone got right into it and allowed that place of surrender to move them deeper. My experience was that it had three waves of energy. The first wave was movement and this pushed me physically to channel the huge amount of Divine energy that came through. It was kind of funny at the start. I was wondering if they were going to open it up…then…BAM it came through. Oh mama did it come through. As I was pulling that energy through, Carol was tuning it and directing the flow of energy. I have to say it was remarkable to work with her in this way and everything had an organic movement to it. The next wave was one of stillness and surrender. During this wave everyone participated in very magical toning and chanting, and allowed their higher wisdom to allow that expression. It was beautiful to have that space to express without judgment. A lot of inner child work was also done by just “allowing” it to find its voice. This is also where I had my surprises as I was expecting to be a passive channel though this and allow Carol to do most of the expression…but alas I too was included in the chanting and toning and loved every minute of it. During this time a number of Divine Beings and ascended master guides came through. In particular the Christ energy and Tara came through strongly. There was also a Tibetan Medicine guide that came through and worked with one person in particular. This guide has a beautiful energy and has been part of this Divine Bridges from the beginning as well as coming into my work in the past 5 years or so. Along with everything else, I also felt Otter energy come in which is one that teaches us to go with the flow and employ pay in our daily life. Overall it was a beautiful period of Divine Grace opening up and holding us in it. To me it felt like a gentle rain of golden energy throughout. The final wave was one of integration, which took us to the conclusion. I think from beginning to end we were in it for just over an hour but it had a very timeless quality.
Comments from the participants were very positive. Everyone experienced movement in their system and many received messages and clarity. Two of the people present had back problems issues resolve in the session. I have to say I was thrilled with the event and can’t wait to expand it to include more people. I am very appreciative to be working with a gifted healer such as Carol, and to have such a great group for our first Divine Bridges event.

So, probably one of the questions you have when you see our site is "why all the dragons?" Because I said so! They were on sale. They magically appeared. Bunny rabbits had too soft an edge. All good answers to be sure, although dragons have just started popping up since we opened the first Divine Bridge (or it opened us I should say). Both Carol and myself are dragon connected to start with, and there has been a strong dragon energy to this work. During our first group event both of us could feel a dragon energy holding the space open for us to do our work. I think part of this is also that Divine Bridges is teaching us to connect with that innocent child again. That child believes in a world full of dragons and magic, and so should we!
Secondly, if you are an avid Divine Bridges fan (and hey, who isn't), you would have noticed the web site go through some colour evolutions. I think carol might phrase it differently (my first crack at it I think gave her a migraine). but between the Divine and Carol they were able to steer me into a the right combination. As a bit of trivia, the background colour of the site is sampled from the Dalai Lama's sash and the text colour from his robes (we just cut swatches from his robes when he was sleeping...hope he doesn't mind).
Carol came across a poem that we think is quite fitting to the Divine Bridges work that I would like to share here.
Stream of Life
The same stream of life that runs through my veins night and day runs
through the world and dances in rhythmic measures.

So one of Carol's messages was that our events would be a mirror of nature. And since nature is never static, we too would be in organic and dynamic motion. This motion would be spontaneous and flow from the participants higher wisdom and interact with the group dynamic. Carol had found this site which had an interesting parallel to the work we are doing with Divine Bridges. It is called the Strange Attractor model. Hey, it attracted me didn't it?!

Divine Messages
So I opened a 100 fortune cookies and took the best one. Um, I mean I asked the guides in Divine Bridges if they had a message to pass along for the month. here is what came through:
On Wednesday December 5th 2007 at 8:30pm PST I sat in meditation and asked for a message. I guess I should have got nervous when the message came through "don't be alarmed,we are going to download some information into you." oh boy, never a dull moment. Well a few minutes later they opened a Divine Bridge event. The energy was a little different and felt like a column of light energy. It was very intense and heart centered. Once I had breathed that through for about half an hour or more, the Divine Mother aspect came through with a message. I transcribed it in a half trance state. If I tried to change the wording it would stop until I wrote what they said. So here is the message from the Divine Mother:
"Greetings my loved children. I am the Oneness. I am all that is.
We are undergoing remarkable times. Some of you are feeling a profound shift in consciousness. Manifestation is accelerating in leaps and bounds. Density is disintegrating. The Divine is listening. We hear you in prayer. You want change. You want lightness of Being. What are you willing to surrender to feel that? Let go of your pettiness. Free yourself of judgement. You are loved. You are special. Life doesn't have to be so serious. We give you a platform for experience; your life. You choose your experience. Let go. stop fighting. beauty surrounds you. You are being called upon to open doors. ascend the stairs. Leave the past behind. See the glory of all creation all around you.
Do not ignore the pain around you, but do not drown in it either. Positive thought and action will move us faster and further than gloom ever will.
Learn from the children. Be as they are. Play, laugh, be young of spirit. let go of your conformity, your rigid beliefs. Love freely and openly.
Let go of the past. Those hurts belong to someone else. You choose whether to carry them. They were only on your path to wake you up. You don't need them now.
This life is only a fraction of your total experience. Remember that when you have a bad day. A moment of time that is gone as a quick as a breath. So let go of your worries; heavy hearts never solve anything.the choice is always there.
So remember to laugh and take this imaginary "me" less seriously.
And I always like to choose a tarot or oracle card for an event like this to help me understand what the theme or undercurrent is. So this month's card comes from the Osho Zen Tarot deck, and is:
RIPENESS
Only if your meditation has brought you a light that shines in every night will even death not be a death to you but a door to the divine. With the light in your heart, death itself is transformed into a door, and you enter into the universal spirit; you become one with the ocean. And unless you know the oceanic experience, you have lived in vain. Now is always the time, and the fruit is always ripe. You just need to gather courage to enter into your inner forest. The fruit is always ripe and the time is always the right time. There is no such thing as wrong time.
Commentary:
When the fruit is ripe, it drops from the tree by itself. One moment it hangs by a thread from the branches of the tree, bursting with juice. The next moment it falls--not because it has been forced to fall, or has made the effort to jump, but because the tree has recognized its ripeness and simply let it go. When this card appears in a reading it indicates that you are ready to share your inner riches, your 'juice'. All you need to do is relax right where you are, and be willing for it to happen. This sharing of yourself, this expression of your creativity, can come in many ways--in your work, your relationships, your everyday life experiences. No special preparation or effort on your part is required. It is simply the right time.
(Hmmm. seems like a pretty auspicious and appropriate card for our next event!)

My very good friend Ian has started a new business offering meditation/visualization CDs and Mp3s that are encoded with entrainment frequencies. I have listened to a couple of them already, and have to say they definitely deepen the quality of my meditation. His latest offering is a manifestation CD with a real unique twist. Ian also has some great meditation instruction and advice on his website. I highly recommend him as a meditation teacher.

One of my new fascinations is the world of fractals. To me, I see it that science is starting to open the treasure chest and where they expected to see dry straightforward logic, they are instead getting a glimpse of the beauty and organization of the Divine. This is one program I came across for a fractal generator. I haven't had much chance to play with it yet but it looks promising. They also have a great gallery of images (some of which we used on our EZine page)
